L’azienda vinicola Velenosi è stata fondata dai due giovanissimi imprenditori Angela ed Ettore Velenosi nel 1984 e solo nel 2005 si è ulteriormente espansa, grazie all’entrata del nuovo socio, il Dottor Paolo Garbini. Le attrezzature moderne e all’avanguardia, la voglia di imparare e di mettersi in gioco dei proprietari, ha trasformato questa piccola impresa in un’eccelleza territoriale, nella quale poter gustare ed acquistare vini di ottimo livello. Situata ad Ascoli Piceno, nelle Marche, a soli 20 km dal mare e ad un’altitudine di 150-200 metri, la proprietà è costituita da un terreno argilloso che risulta essere particolarmente fertile, caratteristica tipica delle colline che circondano la valle del fiume Tronto. Oltre alle quattro aziende sviluppatesi fra Ascoli Piceno, Castorano, Monsampolo e Castel di Lama, la Cantina Velenosi ha anche alcuni vigneti nella zona di Ancarano, in provincia di Teramo, e a Marcelli, ad Ancona. I vigneti coltivati dall’ azienda Velenosi sono :Trebbiano, Montepulciano, Malvasia, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau, Sauvignon blanc, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Passerina, Schiraz ,Pecorino e Petit Verdot; la filiera risulta completamente seguita dal dottor Attilio Pagli, esperto enologo.
